Accounting Operations Manager

About the Role
- Position: Accounting Operations Manager
- Role involves overseeing and managing day-to-day operations of Accounting Operations function.
- Responsibilities include adhering to KPIs for Accounting Operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing and reconciliation of cash application and brand payments.
- Facilitate communications related to Order-to-Cash cycle with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead a team of accounting specialists providing guidance,
training and support to meet departmental goals.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze KPIs related to accounting operations; identify improvements; implement corrective actions.
- Streamline cash application and payment reconciliation processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Engineering on automation tools/systems for accounting operations enhancement.
- Conduct regular training sessions on accounting policies/procedures/best practices for team.
- Assist in developing/implementing internal controls/processes to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate ad hoc accounting projects ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Brand Payments during onboarding/offboarding ensuring smooth financial transitions and closure of outstanding payments.
- Perform periodic reviews confirming clearance of uncleared checks maintaining accurate records.
- Work with legal team for compliance and proper accounting treatment of legal matters/processes.
- Oversee invoice generation and revenue reconciliation ensuring accurate billing/financial reporting.
- Prepare audit letters/support files facilitating internal/external audit compliance processes.
- Supervise/manage accounting operations team providing guidance/training/support to achieve goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in accounting operations; at least 2 years in supervisory/leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Solid understanding of accounting operations processes including cash application,
reconciliation,vendor payments.
- Strong knowledge of Order-to-Cash cycle related to accounting operations.
- Ability to collaborate cross-departmentally for process improvements/operational efficiencies.
- Proficient with accounting software/platforms including QuickBooks Online (QBO) and relevant tools.
- Excellent attention to detail; high accuracy in financial data management.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills for complex accounting issues/discrepancies.
- Ability to prioritize tasks/meet deadlines in fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction and team guidance.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with track record motivating/developing high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with laws/regulations/compliance requirements related to accounting operations.
- Strong financial acumen; ability to interpret financial data/reports effectively.
